What’s new at Crystal Cabin! Argillite Frog Pendant

The advantage of being in Haida Gwaii, our connections with talented Haida artists, and the fact that we’re artists ourselves means that we’ve got some exciting new treasures to share with you this week!

This exquisite Argillite Frog Pendant was carved by Chris Russ from the Haida Nation.

The frog is a symbol of good luck and happiness. Frog is known as the communicator and also represents new life.

This argillite pendant is complimented by fine grain yew wood and six inlays of black oyster shell. Two pieces of abalone inlay highlight this frog’s curious eyes.
