Raven and First Men is the Haida legendary Tale of the first Haida born from clam shells opened by Raven. Giitsxaa again has been generous in portraying Raven's largeness and tangibility which this carving beckons one to hold the Raven in your arms. Here Raven has two clam shells and one can truly sense the birthing power behind these humans coming into the world for the first time with new eyes. Opal inlay for the Raven's eyes and silver carved inlays for the shoulders is what gives this carving an added uniqueness for detail. Also admire the fine feathering detail to the Raven. This piece is also a rare and large size and considered unattainable in these times.
