These sterling silver butterfly earrings with faceted gemstones are designed by Ts'msyen artist Morgan Asoyuf.
Design: Butterflies are messengers to the spirit world. They allow us to communicate to our ancestors and for our ancestors to communicate with us.
The design was inspired by Butterflies in Spirit, an activist dance group who dances to honour missing & murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit.
“These butterflies come from my imagination, some would say the spirit world, inspired by real life activists. Our women and two-spirit are the most vulnerable and the most targeted. Visibility is everything. I wanted to create something to show each buttterfly is cared for, loved and honoured. Connection and community keep us safe.”
Dimensions: 3.5 cm tall by 1.5 cm wide
Material: Sterling silver & gemstone. Choose rose quartz, garnet, labradorite, or sapphire.
