Neil Goertzen is a Haida artist born in 1991. He started working with his father, Haida artist, Carmen Goertzen at the age of 9. He continues to develop his unique and intricately detailed style. Goertzen was the recipient of a Vancouver Airport Art Foundation scholarship. This award recognizes British Columbia’s young First Nations artists as emerging talents in Northwest Coast Native Art.
Neil practices Haida art and culture using metal, paint, wood, and dance. Goertzen has worked with Christian white and Jaalen Edenshaw on local totem pole carving projects.
