Three Finned Design: These designs play on the meanings of many symbols within Haida art. Three fins connect back to the three-finned supernatural killer whale. As well, within each fin there is a design of a human and a raven. Another supernatural killer whale is the raven-finned killer whale, alluded to in this design through the presence of Raven. Reg shared that these designs were additionally inspired by one of his bentwood box designs, where a fin was adorned on each side of a cedar bentwood box.
