Shoshannah Greene / SGidGang.Xaal Ceremonial/Art is thrilled to present Wild Flowers by Haida artist Shoshannah Greene / SGidGang.Xaal; a collection of recent works that challenge traditional mediums and explore the complexities of grief. Utilizing formline and passed-down cultural stories to colour her work, Shoshannah brings a contemporary lens to the Pacific Northwest artistic style of art-making all while navigating the ups and downs of what it means to live a life. Loss, joy, care; all themes that are prevalent throughout the works that make up Wild Flowers. Her traditional Haida name SGidGang.Xaal translates to “Wild Rose” which informed the title of the show - flowers that have never required human intervention, resilient life which persists. June 22, 2024, 2-6pm 293 E 2nd Ave. Vancouver, BC
