An artist from Kitimaat, B.C., Lyle considers himself a student of Northwest coast art. He started his career at Emily Carr, where he graduated with a diploma in printmaking. Lyle collaborated with UBC’s Bill McLennan for the Image Recovery Project in 1987, which led to a major role in the Native Longhouse Project, installed in the Canadian Museum of History, a notable milestone in his career. Lyle continues to create amazing works of art inspired by his heritage. His works can be found in public and private collections all over the world.
