Clayton Gladstone, Haida Artist

Clayton Gladstone Jr. is a Haida Master Carver from Skidegate, Haida Gwaii who has been carving wood and jewelry since 1977. He is a grandson to influential Haida artist, Charles Edenshaw and cousin to Bill Reid. Gladstone trained with Reid in the late 1970s and 1980s. In 2002, he was featured in the series “The New Masters,” where he shared his knowledge about both traditional and contemporary Haida art. He is a member of the Skidegate K̲aayahl 'Laanaas Eagle Clan.
