Three Finned Design: This is the first print in a new series released in 2024 by Reg Davidson called "Three Finned." This print features bold colours and a powerful design. Its smaller size allows it to fit beautifully in any space. This is Reg Davidson's most recent print since the release of "Three Watchmen" in 2021.
These designs play on the meanings of many symbols within Haida art. Three fins connect back to the three-finned supernatural killer whale. As well, within each fin there is a design of a human and a raven. Another supernatural killer whale is the raven-finned killer whale, alluded to in this design through the presence of Raven. Reg shared that these designs were additionally inspired by one of his bentwood box designs, where a fin was adorned on each side of a cedar bentwood box.
