Design: Haida Gwaii is an archipelago of over 150 islands in northwest coast British Columbia and is the traditional territory of the Haida Nation. It is also home to North America's largest black bears. This piece connects you to Haida Gwaii, its beautiful landscapes, topography and texture to represent the mountains and sea, and the bear claw shape to honour the bears. Bears represent respect, intelligence and family.
