Billy NC Yovanovich, Kuuhlaanuu is a Haida artist born from Ts’aahl Eagle clan. Billy is an emerging artist who has apprenticed under both Timmy Boyko and Garner Moody for carving. And also had the pleasure of learning formline and design from the late Ben Davidson and his father Robert Davidson.

Supernatural Female Being Sculpture: Billy NC Yovanovich completes his first work as a lead carver on the cedar sculpture, Ts’iixuu Jin Jaad (Low Tide Woman), which is one of eight supernatural female beings carved for the grand opening of the new Skidegate Health Centre in Skidegate, Haida Gwaii. During the carving of this piece he received guidance from Haida master carvers, Tim Boyko & Garner Moody.
