Haida Argillite Carving Raven Pendant by Sean Brennan
Bring home a one-of-a-kind Haida argillite carving, handcrafted by Sean Brennan. With a full-time career in land stewardship, this artist's work is rarely available.
Raven, the legendary Trickster and shape-shifter, pried open a giant clam shell to reveal the first Haida people. Raven embodies creation, wisdom, and reflects the many sides of human nature.
Their curiosity often leads him into playful mischief, giving us stories filled with wisdom. Raven is famous for releasing the sun and moon, and brings laughter and a joyful spirit wherever Raven goes.
Each pendant is carved from argillite, a slate-like stone found only in Haida Gwaii. Sean shapes every piece with cold metal tools, ensuring no two are alike. Abalone inlays bring the eyes to life, while visible carved lines add a tactile, textured beauty to every pendant.
