How do I get started?
The easiest and quickest way to get the process moving is to use the contact form on this page. But if you are feeling like you need to talk to someone right away, simply email us at store@crystalcabingallery.com or call us at 1-250-557-4383. Simply share your idea, a general budget, and any inspiration you have. There are no wrong answers as we love hearing your vision and helping it take shape.
What kinds of custom artwork can I order?
You can order anything from an original painting, bentwood boxes, paddles, drums, masks, carved wood panels and argilite carvings.
I don't know much about Northwest Coast Indigenous artwork. Can you help?
Absolutely. That's part of what we do. Our team will walk you through the different techniques, materials, design elements, and artists so you can find something that truly resonates with you. You're welcome to browse our gallery of past custom pieces for inspiration, and we'll ask questions to help bring your idea to life.
Which artists will create my piece?
We work with artists from the Haida, Gitxsan, Kwakwaka'wakw, Nuxalk and Ts'msyen Nations, alongside other Northwest Coast Indigenous artists. Once we understand what you're looking for, we'll suggest the artist whose style, expertise, and availability is the best fit for your vision.
How long does a custom piece of artwork take?
Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the piece and the artist's schedule. We recommend reaching out as early as possible. Depending on the project, custom art pieces can take a few months to several months. That being said, if there is a nearing deadline, such as an event, exhibition, renovation, or grand opening, we can usually accommodate rush orders.
Can I order from outside of Canada?
Yes! We ship internationally and have completed custom orders for clients across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond. We'll keep you updated every step of the way and arrange delivery right to your door.
What if I'm not sure what I want?
Many of our most cherished commissions started with just a feeling or a loose idea. You might know you want something that includes an eagle, or a piece that feels connected to the ocean. That is simply enough to start a conversation. We'll help you discover the rest.
Will I get updates during the process?
Yes. We stay in close communication throughout your commission and will share progress with you so you feel connected to your piece as it comes to life.
How much does a custom artwork piece cost?
Pricing depends on the type of artwork, the complexity of the design, the medium, the size of the piece, and the artist. We work with a wide range of budgets and will always be upfront with you about costs before any work begins.
