Own one of the first Haida art prints by Guustl'as Rorick, a limited-edition serigraph called Hand It In On Time.

This Northwest Coast art print reminds you to make time for yourself, trust your instincts, listen closely, and respect your needs. Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes we forget we are in control. The warm colours give a modern touch to any study or living room.

The original design was painted in acrylic on canvas. It features a human figure with Mouse Woman on their shoulder or head, quietly offering advice. The title reflects Mouse Woman’s guidance.

Guustl’as is an early-career Haida artist and an apprentice of Cori Yahl ‘Aadas.

Artist statement: “This piece showcases a human figure with a mouse woman sitting on their shoulder/head, whispering advice into their ear. The title reflects the advice Mouse Woman whispers. The design is a continuation of my exploration of interconnectedness, guidance, and the quiet voices that shape our paths. It’s a piece about listening, trust, and showing up on time, for yourself, for your people, and for what matters.”

About the artist: Guustl’as Rorick is a Haida artist. Their name, which means “The Tide that Overcame Everything,” was given by their sister, Raven Thorgeirson (Pearson Leblanc). Guustl’as grew up in Skidegate and is a proud member of the Xaayda/Xaada Nation, with roots in both Southern and Northern Haida Gwaii. In 2020, Robin Rorick mentored Guustl’as in Haida arts. From 2022 to 2024, they studied at the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art, completing a two-year diploma program. They plan to keep learning and mastering formline and sculpture, aiming to create art that captivates and engages. Guustl’as works with design, paint, wood, metal, and sculpture.
